KX is a co-ed Christian service fraternity that is dedicated to serving Christ by serving others!

The Beta Chapter at the University of Evansville has been in existence since 1928. We are a non-denominational organization, open to all UE students. We strive to build one another up in our Christian walks and encourage each other throughout our college experience by emphasizing the following three areas:

WORSHIP

SERVICE

FELLOWSHIP

WORSHIP takes place in our weekly meetings, which are held Mondays at 4:45 in Grabill Lounge. These usually include brief devotions by our members, inspiring music from time to time, and inspiring talks by respected Christian and community leaders from around Evansville. We also spend time in small groups praying for one another and the needs of our campus. In addition, the rituals and taraditions passed on from past generations of KX members help us to focus our attention on our lord and our true identity as His servants.

SERVICE projects are the heart of Kappa Chi. Some of our favorites are serving dinner at the Evansville Rescue Mission, playing bingo with the Little Sisters of the Poor, and sponsoring campus-wide blood drives in the spring and fall. Each year we hold a thirty-hour fast to raise money and awareness for world hunger. Many KX members also participate in long-term volunteer opportunities such as Adopt-A-Grandarent and POWER Tutoring. And were always open to new service ideas!

FELLOWSHIP is a big part of Monday meetings and service projects, of course, but we also have several special events each semester where we can just relax and enjoy each others company. Our Christams Dinner and Spring Picnic are aways a good time, but the undoubted highlights of the year are the fall and spring pledge overnighters! We participate in campus activities such as intramural spors, Homecoming activities, and Musical Madness also.

Our theme verse for this year is:

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and cceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2
