Kanika
is the name of my art studio. "Kanika"
in Sanskrit language is a
particle or granule [the smallest unit of existence]. Kanika is a sincere attempt towards exploring and preserving the ancient sand art. Indians, Tibetans and American Indians in different forms and meanings have been practicing sand art from ancient times. Commonly in all traditions, it is created for spiritual and well being purposes. It is believed that sand paintings bring peace, prosperity and divine vibrations.
