What's a noromo?

Good question, and when you think about it, the answer's kind of obvious. "Noromo" is short for "No Romance," and that's the driving force of the noromos - insisting that there is no love between Mulder and Scully. This view is becoming more and more popular; on the official XF forums, the ones connected to the site, you see more and more formerly rabid shippers converting to noromoism. Noromos think that The Big News from Requiem isn't all that lovely. They think The Surprise is somebody else's, not Mulder's. (Well, they hope so anyway!) At first, if you only hang around with shippers, you might think that noromos are evilness personified. I can assure you that they are not. After all, some of my best friends are noromos! Their folder at the official forum is patronized by all sorts of fans, from shippers (albeit the type that are sensible about the whole thing and who think that discussing baby names is insipid) to noromos (du-uh) to fencesitters who are leaning every which way!
Overall, a good bunch. Don't judge these peeps on first impressions.

From Sai:
Noromo: Just doesn't want to see them together. This comes in varying
degrees, such as no actual romance, while UST is cute, or nothing at all...
MASHEO: Stands for Mulder And Scully Hate Each Other, a satire website. Generally people
who take nothing seriously and tend to pontificate, and (generalisation here, not
necessarily true) tend to enjoy Mulder-bashing and deriding Carter.
Skipper (preferred capitalization SKipper): In favor of a Scully/Krycek romance.
Scunner: Not a term you hear often, people in favor of the Scully/Skinner romance.
Slasher: In favor of a homosexual pairing, usually Mulder/Krycek or Mulder/Skinner.
