Hilversum: Railway Station
Sunlight, falling through a spectraled glass window, reaches a golden column once a day. Elsewhere, in the tower of the station, a golden needle is lit by sunlight. Jan van Belkum, architect of the station, and Joost van Santen received the 'Brunel Award' together for outstanding visual design in public railway transport. A Special Award in support of the Best Integration of Modern Art into the Railway.
