Just Us Puppets

Our Story

We felt the calling to start a Puppet Ministry at our church.  We had no experience in this area, but we felt that if the call was real that God would provide the way.  I attended a Puppet Festival put on by the Carolina Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers; and it was there that I was first exposed to Puppet Making.  Our first challenge came in needing a large number of puppets for a VBS program. Due to limited funds we decided that we would make the puppets entirely out of foam, this included the face, which we painted. A picture is shown to the left.

We then chose a production called "Mary had a Little Lamb".  A pre-recorded script from One Way Street.  For this we needed animal puppets.  Some of them are depicted nearby.  These puppets are "Just Us Puppets", creations as well.

We performed another pre-recorded script on 4-19-00 at the North Henry Academy; the school at our church. It was "Celestial Observers."  In this skit two angels are looking through a telescope at Jesus as He was on earth.
