Betty Cooper is your typical girl next door. She is truly a woman of the world...she gets near perfect grades in school, she can cook a five course meal in under an hour and she can repair any car and get it started up again. So, what could possibly be missing from Betty's life?

Two words...Archie Andrews.

Betty has made is clear by the numerous pictures, countless phone calls and even that ratty old football jersey in her closet that Archie is the one that she is going to marry. If only she could convince her best friend, worst rival, Veronica Lodge, of that fact. Nevertheless, Betty is determined to win over Archie's love once and for all, and she will usually use every plan in the book to make sure of it!

Betty also made her first appearance in PEP #22, December 1941.

Betty Cooper's parents are named Hal and Alice Cooper.

Betty is one of the few characters who has siblings. She has an older brother, Chic, who is a secret agent, and an older sister, Polly, who works as a journalist in San Francisco.

Betty is an animal lover, and she's had several cats, including Caramel, Max, Susie, and many more.

Betty has held several part-time jobs over the years, including volunteering at seniors centres, the mall food court, a fashion boutique, a department store, and even at Riverdale High.

Her hobbies include fixing cars, cooking, baseball, and obsessing over Archie.

Her future career goal is being a famous novelist, and she got her big break when her story, Shadows Twixt The Gables was published in a magazine.

Her mentor is famed romance novelist Lydia Wyndham, and when she passed away, Lydia left Betty all of her old diaries.

Speaking of diaries, Betty Cooper owns three...She keeps the first two in her desk and under her bed, and she keeps the third one in the back of her closet underneath a football jersey that Archie had given her after winning a football game against Central High.

Betty plays the tambourine, and once, even a banjo, in the Archies.
