Here at South Texas Maltese and Rescue we are one big happy family of people and furkids. In my opinion Maltese dogs are just the best breed of dog to live with. Their job in life is to sit in your lap and look pretty. The breed is one of the oldest recognized breeds of the American Kennel Club. They are a toy breed usually weighing from 4 to 7 pounds when they are adults.
Occasionally we have a dog which is smaller than the breed standard.
I have been loving AKC Maltese dogs since 1992.
I will occasionally breed my maltese dogs and I have high quality healthy puppies several times a year. ALL of our dogs are raised with lots of love and attention. They live in our house with us not in kennel runs outside away from people. Our puppies are always in contact with people so they get accustomed to being around people. Socilization skills are some of the most important qualities we help our puppies aquire.
Our little puppies are all vaccinated and checked for intestinal parasites before they go to their new homes. The puppies remain with their mothers until they are 12 weeks of age. They come with a health guarantee, their shot record, a puppy starter pack and instructions on the care of your new tiny treasure.

We also take in Maltese dogs who are in need of help. The rescue maltese dogs get special loving care like the all of our fur babies do. After the rescues are evaluated then they are altered, returned to good health, socialized, and then rehomed as soon as possible.
We guarantee our adoptions and our puppies. If there is ever any problem with any of our dogs we will gladly take them back. We will work with the owner to solve any issues they may have about their new fur kid.
