Jackie has been successful in fashion design.  Entering one of New Zealand's most prestigious fashion design awards the Benson & Hedges New Zealand Fashion Design Awards.  Four times nominated with runner up in 1998 Avant Garde Section, the last fashion event which became an institution in its 32 year history.

One of 90 nominated  garments from 700 entries in the 98 B&H Fashion  show.

Three layers of contrasting textures is the concept of this garment. The under layer being stretched fishnet, middle layer is carpet anti-slip, which can be shaped sculpturally. Top layer is organza which rolls nicely into puffs to give a soft effect.

Garments usually emphasize a woman's sexual features. Jackie wanted to display sensuality of a woman's figure, by emphasizing the shoulders and waist.
The fabric's are; velvet, and chiffon. Attachments are sink plug chain and large eyelets as are the earrings.
A strong contrast between soft fabric and metal enhances the garment.
