Salus Institute of Technology is the Mission school of the Luengo Foundation Incoporated. It was originally established in May 8, 1998 for the livelihood education of he school dropouts and marginal youth. Technical courses such as carpentry, masonry, basic electricity, etc. In 1999 owning to the request of poor parents who could not send their children to expensive establish schools, the Slaus Institute of Technology has opened the Techno high School Department. Thus, there are two departments at the SIT: Andragogy Department of Adult Livelihood Education (Non Academic) Secondary Department: Pedagogy or Techno-Academic Education of the Children The Salusian educands are taught the value and dignity of WORK (Opus), the virtue of MERCY and compassion (Misericordiae) and the Ultimate End of SALVATION (Salus), the Institutional Philosophy of Salus Institute of Technology. The students at Salus 90% poor from the slums of the islands and mountains of Bohol, Philippines... Salus Institute being a Mission School relies on the alms and benefactions of generous christians donors and philanthropists. Any help from used clothes, T-shirtss, shirts, jeans, sneakers, or rubber shoes, canned foods, poor student sponsorships and cash donations are gratefully welcomed and appreciated.
