Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held Sunday, June 7, 2009 in St. John's Church. The meeting runs from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
New Meeting Place
We meet in St. John's Church in Durham. It is located at 5471 N. Roxboro Road. To get there drive north from town on Roxboro. You eventually get to the point where Latta and Infinity hit Roxboro, Latta Road on the left and Infinity road on the right. Drive about 1/2 mile more and you see an elementary school on the left. The church is perhaps another 50 yards on the left. It has two blue signs out front. If you pass the church, you will see Northern High School on the left.
Mission Statement
We are a club dedicated
to furthering the art of wood carving. To this end we meet monthly to enjoy
the fellowship of like minded artists and craftsmen and to learn from each
other how to improve our woodcarving skills. We welcome wood carvers of
all skill levels. Even if you have never put a knife to wood, just bring
the desire to learn.

We generally have
a speaker at the meetings who is an expert in some facet of carving. We
have had experts speak on water fowl carving, painting carvings, sharpening
tools, relief carving, chip carving and many other topics.
