Bhai Sahib Bhai Ajmer Singh Ji Malhi
Waheguru Gurfateh Ji. Bhai Sahib Ajmer Singh
Ji Malhi was a chardi kalaa Gursikh absorbed in the seva of
sangat and was Secretary of the El Sobrante Gurdwara Sahib in
California, USA when he was mercilessly shot and murdered in Guru
Sahib's presence on January 23rd, 2000.
Daas did not personally know Bhai Sahib Ji, but as with many dishearted and shocked Gursikhs worldwide, daas was greatly disturbed by the killing of a Gursikh who it seems devoted his entire life to the Sikh community.
It is our hope that Guru ji will bless all those who were affected and distressed by this event, especially the family and close friends of Bhai Sahib, with Naam, Baani, Seva, and Gursikhi Jeevan. May Guru ji bless us Bhai Sahib's family with some resolve and let us all take His Aasara (support).

"Words cannot express our immense gratitude for all the support and love that have been showered upon us by family, friends, the Sikh nation and non-Sikh communities alike throughout the world. Our family is slowly beginning to come to terms with the reality of his sudden passing. We mourn the loss of not only a devoted husband, but a loving father of three children. We will all miss his presence dearly. We are all blessed to have known such a remarkable and kind human being.
How anyone could harbor so much hatred towards Ajmer is completely unfathomable. Even in our time of deep sorrow, we stand united. We would like to see the perpetrator(s) responsible for this selfish and cowardly act be punished to the fullest extent of the law. As each hour passes by, it is becoming more apparent how much of an impact Ajmer had on the lives of thousands upon thousands of peoples as he stood resolute in advancing causes of peace, justice, and harmony. Ajmer was embodiment of what a Sikh is: a person who was in constant remembrance of God, unselfish, courageous, and loving towards
all.
We ask that communities both near and far make their voices heard through their elected representatives and request that NO stone be left unturned in our search for justice. Until such time, we humbly request that the media continue to respect our privacy as we mourn the loss of a great human being. We thank all those who have and continue to pray for us. We are determined to carry on his legacy for the rest of our lives. Thank you. "
