My goal is to create an iMac Mezzanine to PCI converter, and to then get a video card, such as a Rage 128, working on it for the purpose of dual monitors. Everything I know is on this page, so I probably won't be able to answer any questions you have.

If you see any errors or inconsistencies, please e-mail me: j-rechel@telus.net

I've exhausted the pins on the PCI Voodoo II card, leaving me with only the motherboards to look at for the remaining pins. The Beige G3 and iMac motherboards are too dissimilar to effectively compare. Needless to say, finding the remaining pins is turning out to be frustrating with my 1984 Radioshack analog multimetre. I'm no engineer, and I don't know anything about the PCI bus. My best idea is to find other iMac Mezzanine cards, such as the TV out or SCSI cards. These may provide the additional information needed.

There is also an issue with the IDSEL, which shorts with AD14 on the iMac Game Wizard. Normally, the IDSEL is shorted with an AD on the motherboard, so I'm still trying to figure this one out.

For those interested in taking up this project, here's the resources I've found:

PDF of the iMac's PCI controller. It's the same as the iMac's XPC106ARX66CG, as far as I know. This is essential for testing the motherboard. Finding the correct pin on the reverse side of the CPU card is pretty tricky.

PDF of the iMac's PCI-USB bridge. This is somewhat helpful for testing the motherboard as well.
