Josée Chouinard is a three-time Canadian ladies champion. She was always expected to do well at the major competitions, but never delivered, finishing ninth in two Olympics, and only as high as fifth in five World Championship appearances. After the 1994 Olympic Winter Games, Josée turned professional, and won the Canadian Pro title. After successes as a pro she returned to the eligible world for one season. It was an unsuccessful attempt at a World medal, and she turned professional once again. However, as a pro, Josée's career has exploded. She is now a five-time Canadian Pro champion, and is a highly sought after skater on the pro circuit. Josée married former pairs skater Jean-Michel Bombardier in the summer of 1997.
