| SINCEDILE MNGOMENI was born in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, in 1965, and has been an imbongi (Xhosa praise poet) since the age of 11. He works both as a professional imbongi and as the marketing manager of Chitibunga Funeral company. He has praised political leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, and Makhenkesi Stofile. He was imbongi at the funerals of Govan Mbeki and Steve Tshwete. |
