The U of I Extension Services... provides programs in more than most people realize. In case anyone wonders why so many different areas are covered, it's because the University of Illinois is a Land Grant college, stemming way back to the 'College Land Grant Act' of 1857, which Illinois accepted in 1863.Basically, it established at least one land grant college in each state that would provide beneficial programs to citizens who may not be able to attend college but whose lives and livelihoods would be enhanced by the program. Thus, the Extension Offices in all counties of Illinois provide programs and training at very low or no cost in many areas. Will County has an Extension Office and to see the many services available to all of us, check out their website.. .CLICK HERE |
