1998 Mission Trip to Coweta, OK
The East Wind Mission Work Team traveled to Coweta, OK on June 13, 1998 to help build a new church "Davis Chapel".The Davis Chapel United Methodist Church was destroyed by arsonists in 1994. Davis Chapel received funds from the National Council of Churches to assist in rebuilding their church. The East Wind Team is just one of several that will help with the rebuilding of the church. St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow is hosting the missions teams. The teams are working through the Oklahoma Volunteers In Missions. The East Wind Mission Work Team is from Downsville, LA and most of us are members of the Downsville United Methodist Church.
