Incredible crime story directed by Otto Preminger about the death of a young woman who eventually turns up alive much to the surprise of everyone. It is sad that crime stories as good as Laura are not made anymore, because this is a top notch thriller which will keep you guessing which person `murdered' Laura. Great performances by everyone especially by young Vincent Price as a playboy who is the prime suspect for most of the movie and by Andrews who plays the detective who falls in love with Laura's portrait and finally with Laura herself.
