I would first like to express my thanks to those who helped to contribute to this part of the Luv 'N Chins website (their names and/or site will be linked with each particular article), but most of all, Thanks to The Chinchilla Club On-Line Magazine and it's owner, Jamie Huggins, for allowing me to air most of these articles first in the magazine itself. The response to the articles by the readers has prompted me to add Luv 'N Chins II to my original Luv'N Chins site.
In this section you will find articles on medical treatment used for the particular chin in each article, your vet may not use the same treatment for your chin, for reasons only he/she knows, so please do not use these examples for an argument with your vet, but as a guide-line as to what you might expect under the same circumstances.
Articles shown here are for and about chinchillas and problems that you may or may not run into as a breeder or chinchilla pet owner, some are graphic ... this is meant not to shock, but to prepare you for the possibilities and 'warn' you ahead of time so that you will not panic if the same thing happens to your chin. You, being in control of your emotions, can be imperative for your chin's recovery and timely treatment.
These articles are not, by any means, meant to be a substitute for your vet. Your vet has the medical training and knowledge of your chin and other chins to help you and your little one! :)
