Bay Adventure Yacht Charters

The Bay

The Chesapeake Bay offers a wide variety of sailing adventures. You can make long open water voyages to Tangier Island, Smith Island, the Eastern Shore, or easy trips up calm tributary rivers. The entire area abounds in history starting with the first exploration of the bay by Captain John Smith in the 1600's. The James River Plantations, the Revolutionary War battlefields at Yorktown, the Civil War Monument at Point Lookout, and the awesome war ships of the modern Atlantic Fleet are available to the bay sailor. There is no better way to experience this history than under sail as did the early explorers. In the evenings you can relax in the solitude of a peaceful anchorage or tie up at a modern marina and visit one of the excellent restaurants for which the bay area is famous. There is a wide variety of fish, birds, and mammals in and around the Chesapeake for those interested in photography.
