My name is Joseph and this is my website detailing my experiences with the Porsches I have been privileged to own. I am neither a race car driver nor a mechanic, but I am passionate about (some would say obsessed with) Porsches, and that feeling seems to grow with each successive car. Somehow my appreciation for their mechanical design also widens with each challenge (aka, repair) that I face, which at times seems to be more often than I would prefer. Still, the driving pleasure derived from a Porsche is a rare quality among "sports cars" and worth the extra effort in maintenance and expense.
I bought my first Porsche, a 1988 944, in 1997 at age 25. I quickly became a Porsche devotee and later aquired a 1986 944 turbo which contained an astounding amount of performance potential. This car remained my daily driver for 2 1/2 years, and with it I developed my mechanical and driving skills. I eventually sold it and bought the red 1966 911 as a project, then sold it unfinished to purchase my current '87 944S.
I hope this website will be both entertaining and informative. If you have questions or comments, please feel free to email me at jmitro@sbcglobal.net |
