Fanfiction

This page is dedicated to my own fanfiction. I've always liked writing; I took enough English and composition classes in college to get a minor.

Ranma 1/2 Fanfiction

If you don't know what "Ranma 1/2" is, go immediately to the links page and check out some of the Ranma 1/2 sites. This is one of the most funny Manga/Anime series you will find. It is popular with fanfictions writers, both those that write "pure" Ranma fanfiction, and those that mix Ranma and some other series.

Too Much of a Good Thing - This was my first attempt at a Ranma 1/2 fanfiction. Originally meant to be a one-shot, I got enough requests to make this a mini-series. This is your standard "passion spice" story gone crazy. Very pro-Akane, so be warned if you don't like her.

Chapter 1: Much Too Much - Kasumi and Nabiki scheme to work out the differences between Ranma and Akane. Things go a little farther than either one expected.

Chapter 2: Too Much, Too - After the smoke clears in chapter 1, our intrepid hero must find a way to restore the Tendo home. Will his stomach survive?

Chapter 3: Way Too Much - Time for everyone to settle things, once and for all. Who will be left standing in the battle to end all battles? (In progress)

Chapter 4: Entirely Too Much - Ranma and Akane have settled their problems with the others. Thank goodness all the craziness is behind them... not! (In progress)

Together - An alternative universe Ranma 1/2 mini-series. This explores how things might have gone if Nodoka had accompanied Genma and Ranma on their training trip.

Chapter 1: Every Journey Begins With A Single Step - Genma, Nodoka, and Ranma stop by the Tendos on the start of their ten-year training trip. They leave with an extra member to the party. How will the training trip change with the additional characters?

Chapter 2: Home Is Where The Refrigerator Is - Our group returns to the Tendo home with two extra members. Things start to roll as our favorite characters start school at Furinkan High. (In progress)

Growing Up The Half Way - My next alternative universe mini-series where Genma and Ranma go to China much earlier than normal.

Chapter 1: Stupid Is As Stupid Does - Genma and Ranma go to China after Ukyo's father files charges against Genma for running off with his yatai. (Updated July 28, 2002)

Chapter 2: Stupid Pet Tricks - How will the Tendos react to the Saotomes? That and Ranma's first day at Furinkan High. (Updated July 28, 2002)

Chapter 3: Leaping To Conclusions - Ranma teaches Akane a few things, and learns a new trick himself. Ryoga reappears, dragging along a big problem for Ranma and Genma.

Honor Of The Tendos - Yet another alternative universe mini-series where Ranma grows up with the Tendos. A blatant Ranma/Akane fanfic. Anti-Akane readers should not read this.

Chapter 1: One of the Family - Soun and Genma seal away Happosai, but Genma is captured by hostile natives. Ranma and Nodoka move in with the Tendos while Soun trains Ranma and Akane.

Chapter 2: The China Syndrome - Soun, Akane, and Ranma return from China. Time for everyone to deal with their curses.

The Stone of Arbitration - A series of related one-shots. Various Ranma characters try their hand at being Ranma.

S.N.A.F.U. - Akane buys the Arbitration Stone at a magic store. How will she like being Ranma for a day?

Show Me The Money! - Nabiki finds out about the stone and decides to cash in. (In progress)

Simply Irresistible - Ranma falls in a different Spring. Now the girls won't leave him alone!

Chapter 1: The Name's Saotome. Ranma Saotome. - Ranma arrives in Nerima. Time to meet the Tendo daughters.

Chapter 2: Hands Off My Ranma! - Ranma goes to school. Fun with Dr. Tofu. Ryoga makes his debut.

Kung-Fool - The Ranma world set in America. Follow the adventures of Robert Southerland. Email with suggestions on where the story takes place.

Chapter 1: Look What The Cat Dragged In - The Tandys await the arrival of Robert and Gabriel.

Chapter 2: Bored Of Education - Robert finds Franklin High a little bizzare. (In progress)

YAAH! Ranma (Yet Another Alternate History) - Genma and Soun didn't train under Happosai at the same time, hence the arrangement with the Tendos wasn't made. What happens when Ranma and Akane meet later? The first four chapters of this story were written by Michael Noakes and can be found at http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Subway/9701/fanfiction.htm. This is an unofficial continuation of it with Michael's permission. He plans to maybe continue the story himself at a later date in a different fashion.

Chapter 5: Making Friends - Ranma continues to make friends with Akane as Ranko. Genma takes the time to check out this other Master of Anything Goes.

Ranma 1/2 - Sailor Moon Crossover Fanfiction

I hope no one needs an explanation of "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon". Sailor Moon is the most common crossover series with Ranma 1/2; the two series actually work well together.

Wild Horses and Rabbits Don't Mix - This is my first Ranma 1/2 - Sailor Moon crossover. Ranma and Genma are kicked out of Nerima. Good thing Genma has other fiancées lined up.

Part 1 (four chapters) - Ranma and Genma are kicked out of Nerima; at the same time, Tsukino Kenji is having trouble with Usagi dating a college student. Lucky that call came in from an old drinking buddy; he'd almost forgotten that little arrangement he made ten years ago. (Updated Feb. 25, 2002 / July 28, 2002)

Part 2 (four chapters) - Ranma and Usagi try to get along while they make plans to break their engagement amicably. Too bad the mess left in Nerima is catching up with Ranma.

Usako - A quick-fic challenge from Ben Oliver; Genma and Nodoka have a bouncing baby girl? A one-shot I wrote in less than 30 minutes; short, but sweet.

Usako placed 2nd in the April 2002 voting period for oneshot fics!

Ranma - Dirty Pair Crossover Fanfiction

"The Dirty Pair" was originally a Japanese anime series that became so popular, an American comic house bought the rights to make a more American version. Toren Smith and Adam Warren made this a must-have comic series that embraces the phrase, "all the sex and twice the violence." See my Dirty Pair page for a more detailed description.

Overkill - After the failed marriage attempt, Ranma is exiled into space. One hundred fifty years later, Ranma finds himself lost in the United Galactica.

Chapter 1: Unfinished Business - Ranma gets sent on a little trip. (In progress)

Chapter 2: Salvage Rights - Shasti finds something almost worth the hassle of dealing with the Dirty Pair. (In progress)

Dexter's Laboratory Fanfiction

"Dexter's Laboratory" is a hilarious cartoon from Hanna-Barbera that is run on Cartoon Network. Basically, it is the story of one super-genius 8 year-old and his airhead 11 year-old sister.

The Pepsi Challenge - Dee Dee has trouble opening her soda at lunch. Galactic mayhem ensues. This is a completed mini-series.

Chapter 1: Let's Do Lunch - Dexter and Mandark spark an interstellar conflict while helping Dee Dee.

Chapter 2: Let's Do Something - Can Dexter, Mandark, Dee Dee, Lee Lee, and Mee Mee save the Earth? Not without causing more trouble.

Chapter 3: Let's Do Better - Our heros now have to save the galaxy. Will the galaxy survive? Will Dexter's Lab survive?

Sailor Loon - Dee Dee has been watching too much anime. Now she's fighting for Love and Justice against the forces of the Negaverse. Will she save Dexter's Lab, or destroy it?

Chapter 1: Zero To Hero - Dee Dee has Dexter help her attain her destiny. Now to find some evil.

Chapter 2: Send In The Clowns - The dark forces of the Negaverse have been driven back temporarily. Now it's time to find the other Scouts. (In progress)

Galaxy Rangers Fanfiction

"The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers" was a Sci-Fi cartoon from 1986 and ran along side of Captain Harlock and Robotech. Peaceful systems try to break away from an oppressive and dying empire; in 2086, representatives of the League of Planets go to Earth to get help in fighting the Crown Empire in exchange for hyper-drive technology. Humans use hyper-drives to expand their colonies beyond the Solar System. The cartoon has a "Spaghetti Western" look and feel; quite silly at times, it was, none-the-less, quite a good cartoon of epic proportions.

Galaxy Rangers: Critical Mass - The Crown Armada has been destroyed and it looks like peaceful times ahead for the galaxy. But when outside threats lessen, danger most often appears from within.

Part 1: Finishing Moves - Niko decides she no longer needs her Series 5 implant; she is put on probation until she can prove her worth without it. Summoned once more by her Mentor, Ariel, Niko must decide between the Rangers and the Circle of Thought. (In progress)

Poetry

Some old poetry I wrote while in high school and college.

Blank Verse - Unrhymed verses of indeterminate length using iambic pentameter. Very popular form of poem since it doesn't need to rhyme or fit in a particular length.

Free Verse - Unrhymed verses of indeterminate length using no meter. Very very popular form of poem since it doesn't need to rhyme, has no meter, and no fixed length.

South Breeze, South Wind - I wrote this in high school. My only published poem.

Sonnets - Sonnets are of Italian origin. They should be 14 lines of iambic pentameter. There are two types of sonnets, based on rhyming scheme: the Italian Sonnet uses a rhyming scheme of abba abba cdc dcd, or abba abba cde cde; the English Sonnet, also called the Elizabethan or Shakespearean Sonnet, uses a rhyming scheme of abab cdcd efef gg. An alternative to the English Sonnet, called the Spenserian Sonnet uses the rhyming scheme abab bcbc cdcd ee.

Living Like Flowers - A traditional English sonnet. I wrote this in college.

Haikus - Haikus are short poems of Japanese origin. They should be 17 syllables, usually three lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables; they should also be related to nature in one way or another for "traditional" haikus. These collections were all done in high school.
