We bought the car in San Jose California  my dad paid only 2,300 US dollars for  the car
My 69 Riviera came from the factory a light green  with a white top.
inside the car was a bench seat with a shifter on the wheel   we hade the orignal  430 ci motor  but we had it upgraded to a 454 ci big block  the transmission is still stock
we drove the car from San Jose California in 1987 to Canada Ontario where all this restoration has been  taken place
MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN A FARM HOUSE FOR 9 MONTHS

UPDATE: AS OF JUNE 2005 MY CAR HAS  BEEN MOVED INTO A STORAGE UNIT WHERE SHE  WAITS TO BE RESTORED !
My car was painted  but as you can see it was done half way  the man who was going to finish the car quit working on it for what ever reason .  The man was paid  to finish it but did not .

FACTS:

The Riviera  is one of the most interesting cars that I have every seen.
The 1969 Riviera had minor changes which included new body side trim, bright wheel house mouldings, and bright lower body moldings with great accents. The Riviera still came highly equipped and with the GS option at just about $131.57, "that was a absolute bargin".
1969 was the peak of Riviera's popularity as 52,872 were sold . this would be the last year for the 430 engine
1969  Riviera was the last year for the hide away headlights.

Productiuon 52,872
Engines  430 V-8 360bhp@ 5000rpm 475 lb-ft@3200 rpm
Performace 430 /360 0-60 9.2 sec.

The Riviera allmost was a cadillac. It was originally designed with Cadillac in mind. But Cadillac didn't  want it
other divisions competed against each other for the car but buick ened up with it !
