No-Sew Fleece Pillow |
|
|

Here are photos illustrating each step in making a "no-sew" fleece pillow. |

Lay both layers of fleece out and cut a 20" square from both. You can increase the size of the square (ie 30") if desired. |

|
Cut 4" squares out of each corner of the fleece square. |

Cut 1" sections of fringe up 4" from the edge of the fleece square. |

Here's the pillow with the fringe cut around all four sides. |

Matching up each of the fringe pieces, go around the pillow and tie an overhand knot for each fringe piece close to the base of the fringe. Leave the last side open for stuffing, and after you've stuffed the pillow--tie off the last side in the same manner. Then go around the pillow and tie a second knot over the first. I tug a big on the first knot before I tie the second. This minimizes the gaps where the stuffing might show in between the knots. |

Here's how the flip side of the pillow looks. Notice that the fringe color from the first side shows up on the 2nd side--neat, huh? Now--if you want to do a fleece throw--you do the exact some thing--just on bigger pieces of fleece. I used 2 yrds of fabric for side #1, and 2 yrds for side #2. They are laid out and cut exactly the same way--the same 4" corners, etc. Then just knot and you're done! There's no batting or fill between the two pieces of fleece for the blanket. I made one for my toddler and used 1 yrd for side #1, and 1 yd for side #2. Good Luck! |
