Using a modified low-cost CCTV camera
The camera I use is a CCTV board camera, using a Sony ExView HAD sensor which provides excellent light sensitivity which extends into the near infrared. However, for deep-sky imaging, the camera really needs to be able to collect light for a long period of time - so I modified the camera to allow it to do just that.
The camera allows me to image objects in the solar system such as the Sun, Moon, and Planets, as well as 'deep sky' objects - Nebulae, Galaxies, and Clusters.
