My T2 CHICAGO SHOW REPORTS

*** T2 CHICAGO SHOW REPORT - PART ONE of THREE *** Two shows turned into three shows (YAY!), so I’ll start with FRIDAY NIGHT… Leads were: MICHAEL EDWARDS (good guy), CIAN NOLAN (bad guy), DEARBHLA LENNON (good girl), and ARELEEN BOYLE (bad girl). It was lovely to see DEARBHLA dance the lead again after seeing her in Milwaukee two weeks ago and she was all smiles once again! Both CIAN and MICHAEL had command of the stage when they were dancing, and ARELEEN looked stunning in red! CATHERINE COLLINS was the wind-up doll…the four guys in LOTD were FERGAL MCCROSSAN, SHAUN CASEY, DENIS MCDERMOTT, and EMMETT MCCORMACK and the crowd cheered the dancers on as the first half of the show drew to a close! The couples in Fiery Nights were: FERGAL, MARTIN SKEHILL, EMMETT, KEVIN O’MALLEY, CATHERINE, CARLY BROOKER, THERESA O’SULLIVAN, and SHONA KILLOUGHERY. I absolutely love Siamsa, as did the rest of crowd, and we got plenty of yells and smiles from JOHN PAUL FITZGERALD, PHELIM LENNON, JOSEPHINE BRENNAN, and KEVIN & KIERAN DOOHAN! ROB WILSON and MARTIN had their little “pushing and shoving” match during Hell’s Kitchen…the Duel was awesome between MICHAEL and CIAN—the acting that goes into this dance, as well as the ENTIRE show, is simply amazing!! The crowd was excellent for this show, and all of us stayed standing while MICHAEL and the troupe gave us their fantastic encore! It was lovely to meet ANNIE FLATLEY, one of MICHAEL’s sisters, at intermission of the show. For all of you that sent or posted Birthday Wishes for CIAN, they were hand-delivered to him right before the show started and he said THANK YOU!! I would like to thank JOHN PAUL, DENIS, MARTIN, JUSTIN, and KEVIN DOOHAN for spending some of their time chatting with me after the show. :-) Onto the next show…

*** T2 CHICAGO REPORT – PART TWO of THREE *** SATURDAY MATINEE Leads were: FERGAL MCCROSSAN (good guy), LOUISE CONNOLLY (good girl), DENIS MCDERMOTT (bad guy), and SHONA KILLOUGHRY (bad girl). It had been ages since I had last seen FERGAL in the lead (April 1999!) and WOW is he awesome! His footwork is very unique—completely different than MICHAEL’S or SHAUN’S. LOUISE was beautiful up on stage and I love SHONA’S style of dancing! DENIS was down right EVIL and MEAN and he really put on a show! DEARBHLA was the wind-up doll and the crowd liked the “growl” when FERGAL went up to LOUISE in the beginning of Warlords. :-) GWEN SALE & MAIRE EGAN were fabulous in Strings of Fire, and BRONAGH MCPARTLAND and DEIRDRE GILSENAN performed their parts wonderfully! The four guys in LOTD were: MARTIN, MICHAEL, EMMETT, and SHAUN…The couples in Fiery Nights were: MARTIN, MICHAEL, EMMETT, KEVIN O’MALLEY, DEARBHLA, CATHERINE, CARLY, and THERESA. Siamsa was even more fun at this show, as we got some great smiles and yells from MATT GERGUICH :-) JOHN PAUL, PHELIM, JOSEPHINE, and KEVIN DOOHAN! MARTIN and ROB were back at it in Hell’s Kitchen, egging each other on for a fight. Victory and Planet Ireland were awesome as usual, and we got some MORE smiles and winks from CATHERINE, JOSEPHINE, DEARBHLA, MARTIN, and KEVIN DOOHAN! It was lovely to meet CLAIRE LYTTLE for the first time after the show, along with seeing the familiar faces of CATHERINE, SHAUN, and JUSTIN (and his family who FINALLY made it to Chicago after being delayed a day in Ohio! It was great to meet and visit with you again!) Onto the last show…

*** T2 CHICAGO SHOW REPORT – PART THREE OF THREE *** SATURDAY NIGHT Leads were: MICHAEL EDWARDS (good guy), CIAN NOLAN (bad guy), CATHERINE COLLINS (good girl), and ARELEEN BOYLE (bad girl). I can’t say anything more than this--MICHAEL was ON FIRE at this show!! I have never seen him smile so much in two hours! HA! CIAN was simply awesome (when ISN’T he?!), ARELEEN again looked stunning up on stage, and CATHERINE is just BEAUTIFUL—I can’t stop smiling at her while she’s dancing :-) DEARBHLA was the wind-up doll once again…the four guys in LOTD were: SHAUN CASEY, FERGAL MCCROSSAN, EMMETT MCCORMACK, and DENIS MCDERMOTT. The crowd was cheering so loud and so long after LOTD finished, that you could barely here the “There will now be a 20 minute intermission” announcement!! Siamsa was loads of fun again with more smiles and yells from MATT GERGUICH, JOSEPHINE BRENNAN, JOHN PAUL FITZGERALD, ADAM MCSHARRY, and KEVIN DOOHAN. There were 12 of us who were in the third row center area for this show, and we devised a little plan to boo at CIAN as MATT & JUSTIN were putting the Lord’s belt onto him. So with CIAN looking straight out into the crowd, we all joined in and yelled “BOOOOOOO!!!” LOL After the show, CIAN said that he got a little smirk on his face when he heard us, and he had to “tuck that away” because he’s suppose to be the bad guy! :-) Victory and Planet Ireland were simply awesome and the troupe was really pumped up throughout the show! We received, yet again, more smiles from GILLIAN WALSH, MATT, KEVIN DOOHAN, CATHERINE, MICHAEL, DEARBHLA, JOSEPHINE, and JOHN PAUL and the crowd stayed standing while the troupe gave us their final encore of the night! I’d like to thank CATHERINE, and especially JOHN PAUL and DENIS for all the time they spent talking with me after the shows…and to the entire Troupe—THANK YOU for a fabulous weekend of shows and I hope that you’ll come back to Chicago during the summer when it’s nice and warm outside and not windy and snowy with 12+ inches of snow on the ground! Good luck with the rest of this tour and have a great break!
