| Words From The Heart For Jesse Upon the rose so many thorns, the beauty touched by pain Each velvet petal in this life Is softness that remains Your hearts all filled with sorrow The love that you can find Written by the memories Our hearts in life designed To mourn the beauty that goes by Whenever life is torn The stem of pain will still remain The velvet soft and warm Remembrances of life gone by They constantly will stay For in your life that special rose Becomes your heart's bouquet. | Just The Two Of Us The gifts are all wrapped, And placed under the tree. We hang only two stockings, Where three used to be. How can we enjoy, All that the holidays bring? When all of our joy, Was taken that Spring. Now it's just the two of us, There's no more Christmas joy, All we have left are memories, Of you, our precious boy. The only gift we wish for, Can't be placed under the tree. But we know it will come true someday, When we again are Three. Copyright 2001 Donna Stoner |

| THIS CHILD OF MINE "I'll lend you for a little time, a child of mine, He said, For you to love while he lives, and mourn for when he's dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three. But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for Me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief, You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief." "I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn. I've looked the wide world over in my search for teacheres true, And from the throngs that crowd life's lane, I have selected you. Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain, Nor hate Me when I come to call him back again?" I fancied that I heard them say: "Dear Lord, thy will be done. For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may, And for all the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay; But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned; We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try and understand." | FOREVER IN MY HEART A million times I've needed you, A million times I've cried. If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place, No one can ever fill. It broke my heart to lose you, But you did not go alone. A part of me went with you, The day GOD called you home. Your precious memory is my keepsake, With which I'll never part. GOD has you safely in HIS keeping, But I have you forever in my heart. | HELPING HAND I know I'm not beside you But if you close your eyes I'll be standing there in front of you Wearing no disguise I'll help you through the tough times When you feel you can go no more I'll be there reaching for your hand To help you through the door I'll shine a light within your darkness Shining to you the way Helping you to move forward And taking it day by day I'll always be by your side You'll never be alone There's nothing in this world You'll have to go through on your own Forever keep me in your mind And think of me every day For whenever you need a helping hand I'm only a blink away.
