| My name is Mardell Denney. In 1985 I purchased my first Akita show dog and the foundation dog of my kennel. We called him Jer-Mar Nite Gamblr O' Sashimo, "Gambler" for short (pictured above on the right). He finished his championship in May of 1988. He was not only my foundation dog and family companion, but he was my best friend. He was bred very limited and unfortunately lost him at the age of 4 years old due to bloat. He took with him my heart and left me with his kids to carry on his legacy. Several of his jkids went on to be great champions and unfortunatly they have all been retired or have passed on. The surviving offspring are living out their lives in relaxation with thier current owners. In March of 1989, I had a litter out of Sashimo's Flashdance and Ch. OB'J Striped Kareem of Skylake. In that litter came the other of my foundation dogs that I called "Awsom" (pictured above to the left). Ch. Jer-Mars Totally Awsom finished his championship in Janurary of 1993. He has recently passed away after a wonderful 11 years. |

| I have personally handled over 40 dogs and guided them to their championships, most of which came from my breeding program. My most notable trimph came in Janurary 2000? when I took Winners with my male Akita, Jer-Mars Knight Rider (Kit), My female Akita Ch. Jer-Mars Rech-N For The Stars (Chyenne pictured to the right), and Best of Breed with my male Akita special Ch. Ranmor Sky Writer of Akiko (Mochi). "Mochi" continued on that day to take a Group 2 . In 2000, "Mochi" has been consistently ranked in the top 5 akitas by breed points, as well as group points, nationwide. He was #1 Akita in group points from Janurary to June. He also recieved an Award of Merit at the Regional Speciality in Burbank in June 2000. "Mochi" is pictured below on the lower left side. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| It is out of these two males that I have my current pride and joys. First and foremost, there is Ch. Sun-Rae Brisco County Jr. (Pictured on the lower right) who I am a co-owner on. "Brisco" is bred to approved bitches only. His wonderful temperment and sweet disposition has made him a great companion as well as show dog. His owners, Ed and Melissa Young, currently have "Brisco" being specialed on a limited basis. Contact Ed and Melissa Young by clicking HERE. Then we come to Ch. Jer-Mars Unerversal Play'r Sun-Rae (pictured lower middle). He is my "Mochi" son out of Sun-Rae Riden On One Of A Kind, making a big impact with the judges and Akita competetors. He loves to show and that makes it even more fun. "Player" is currently being specialed locally. Look for us in the ring throughout 2005. Player is also loved and Co-Owned by Anna Sanchez of Sun-Rae Akita's, you can email her here, as well as Wayne L. Davis D.V.M. of Small Animal Hospital in Riverside, Ca. |
