Jennifer Roxas
She started to sing at the age of 9 in a Catholic church as a member of a community choir group in the Philippines. She came in Japan in year 1995.And have started to sing pops and ballad songs.She had a live show at Royal Palace Studio in year 1998 with the owner of the studio,Ms.Suzuki Michiko(pianist).From there on,she have started guesting at parties and special gatherings in Royal Palace Studio and other music halls.
In year 2000,she used to sing at Alizawa Michiko's Music Lounge as a regular singer for 4 years.While performing at Kanazawa Cultural Hall every year with Alizawa Michiko's band on their yearly event shows and recitals.
From year 2004,she started to learn jazz songs through the help of Mr. Fujita of Multi Brain Production and learnt at Tempo Production's Music School and joined some jazz worshops at Geijutsumura headed by Mr.Shiomura.And learned a lot of jazz songs and get used to sing with the jazz band group.
On that same year,she got tha chance to sing at Nikko Hotel Kanazawa in Christmas 2004.Doing 3 nights dinner show with Mr. Shigeru Morishita, a great artist from Tokyo.And with Kanazawa City's best pianist,Mr.Mizoguchi.With the the unbeatable drums of Mr.Kawakita.And amazing bass guitar of Mr. Shiomura.It was 3 wonderful and fantastic nights having these great artists all together!And so with the magnificent christmas spirit they've brought to the audience made the people feel and know the real meaning of christmas.
Now,she is singing gospel songs too, with the powerful and gloriuos gospel choral group,Vox of Joy.A very good influence from her vocal teacher,Ms.Rie Nakata,the leader of the group.It was last December 2005 at Ana Hotel Kanazawa,her first time to sing with the group.It was a memorable Christmas Event of Minato Rotary Club.And it showed a very good outcome that made the Vox of Joy Production Management put her to join the Vox of Joy live at Uchinada Cultural Hall last March 2006.
And now,she have started to sing Duo with her vocal teacher this year.They had 3 nights spring dinner show held at Tamahime Kanazawa Mariage last April.Having all seats taken and tickets bought sold out by all ages,kids and adults.It was a good start for them to sing Duo together.And starting from June,they will be performing at Nikko Hotel Kanazawa for the hotel's "Special Friday and Saturday Nights".More up coming shows and guesting ahead to come. |
