| Thanks for dropping in and for looking around the page will change from time to time. The site will have bits on the Exup Virtual Coffee and Donuts are avalible! I enjoy motorcycling when I can afford the petrol prices here in the UK but Speeding cameras can totally ruin a good day out. Hence the two links to speed camera sites to help you plan a route camera free. I also enjoy camping and I have a passion for the Tors and Dales of the Peak District and for visiting the caverns in the Hope Valley area, I highly recommend this beautiful part of Britian for a visit, especally Matlock on a Sunday summers day as it is a great meeting place for bikers of all types and for getting away from it all. Don't be shy to e-mail your Exup pics for the photo gallery. Just click on the E-mail link and get sending. Craig's Waffle Hi Guys. I have been sorting out the old FZR seat swap to date (this being August) I have obtained the following bits to do the seat swap: Pictures lower down on this page !!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the bits were found on EBAY 2002/03 R1 Subframe (and it is very light compared to the FZR one). Cost £55.00 2002/03 R1 LED Tail light. Cost £16.00 2002/03 Battery tray. Cost £40.00 2002/03 Undertray. Cost £22.00 2002/03 Tail body work. Cost £61.00 2002/03 Rear seat cowl. cost £21.00 2002/03 Front seat Pad. cost £2.96 (American EBAY). Work done so far: Cut about 40 mm off the bottom runs of the subframe and extract the mouting lugs to be re-welded back on. The subframe needs no more modifications to fit the FZR1000 R frame. The rear foot rest hanger mountings also removed the exhaust will be supported by the connector pipe a bit of custom one offing to do there (next job on the list). Modified the front seat pad to fit better by cutting off the front "Wings" that normally wrap around the R1 tank and refit the seat cover. Fill un-wanted rear mudguard mounting holes in the undertray and paint prime and also french in a mini oval flush mounting indicator to use as a number plate light and change the bulb from a 21 watt to a 4 watt item (21 watt would melt the lens!!! and be to bright). De-badge the stickers of the rear body work and paint prime Make up a trick Billet alloy number plate and indicator mounting plate look no wires or bolts on display (unlike these filimsy bent up baked bean can items you see advertised). Also made up a billet number plate blind (so the number plate light cannot be seen from behind this is for MOT reasons). In the "Workshop" section there is a bit on de-restricting your FZR1000 and letting those horses free!!! Also a new link has been added to a site on how to do a R6 seat swap on a FZR!!! (Thanks Thrasher) I have added a gallery to feature all the FZR 1000 Streetfighters and modified bikes. I have added a message board so please feel free to leave messages such as meets, problems and opinions a like. Just click on the BRAVENET link and get posting. |

It does not matter what bike it is or its age. The underglow can be fitted by Oliver or he can make custom kits for home fitting. If you would like the same effect on your bike please click on the picture above to take yourself to his web site. Or call him in office hours on 07791 217615 or e-mail at info@srd-bikes.com |
| The 2002 R1 subframe is cut down on the bottom arms and the bottom mounting lugs need to be re-welded back on to get the desired height. The number plate light is a flush mounting fairing indicator that has been frenched in to the R1undertray, a bit of the battery tray had to be cut away to do this. The alloy billet number plate light shade is also homemade. The old undertray mudguard mounting holes have all been filled apart from two (something,s got to hold the undertray on !!!!). The Alloy billet number plate and indicator mounting is homemade with concealed wires and fixings. |
| The seat unit in it's final resting place. The Seat unit has been sprayed in primer while any fitting adjustments are made. The seat ismodified and covered with carbon fibre looky leather. The front mudguard is a modified Suzuki1200 bandit one. Brakes are Yamaha R1 all round with a front caliper on the rear. The exhaust mount comes of the front foot peg mount and is stainless steel. The fairing is Ducati 916 with the matching lights and bits. |
