Creating Dingbats
**Any font can be
used for this tutorial**
You will also need
Eyecandy
I like using the fancy and script fonts.
For this tutorial I am using French Script MT
I've included a zip which contains the font you
will need for this tutorial..Just unzip it into your
font folder and install it.

1. Open a new image 300 X 300 with a
transparent background.
2. Set your foreground color to
# BFAA69
3. Select your text tool and place it in the
center of your transparent image. Now
here's the fun part. You can type any
word, letter or name. For this tutorial I am
going to use capital J.
Be sure Floating and Antialias are
CHECKED.
Font
size= 149 and BOLD is
CHECKED.
Click OK.
Your image will
look like this.

4. Now you can apply glass or any preset
of choice. I used Eyecandy/Glass with the
following settings:
Bevel = 8 and bevel Shape = Mesa.

5. Click OK
6. Now choose IMAGE/ROTATE with
these settings:
Direction = LEFT
Degrees = 90
All Layers is UNCHECKED

7. Now choose EDIT/COPY then
EDIT/PASTE/AS A NEW SELECTION.
Your image will look like this:

8. Now choose IMAGE/MIRROR
then use your
mover tool
and slide
the second ding to overlap the first. Your
image will look like this:

9. Now choose
your selection tool ![]()
Set it at Rectangle and Antialias
UNCHECKED
10. Now make a selection around your
dingbat.

11. Choose your magic wand and click
inside of the rectangular selection.
Your Dingbat is now selected.

12. Choose EDIT/COPY then
EDIT/PASTE/AS A NEW IMAGE.
This will be your final result.

13. Choose FILE/EXPORT/AS
PICTURE TUBE and give it a name.
