This site has been established as a tribute to seven-time Winston Cup champion and NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt. Dale Earnhardt was killed in a crash in turn four on the last lap of the 43rd Daytona 500. This site will continue to be maintained as long as possible and as long as it is fitting.

I can remember watching my first NASCAR race on television. It was at Talledega and I decided to stop since there was nothing else on. After several minutes, a wreck occurred and a black race car bearing a stylized white number three went through several horrific rolls before coming to rest. I sat in awe as emergency workers quickly descended upon the scene. A short time later, under the aid of the track workers a man in white and black emerged from the car. He was beaten and battered but he wanted no help. His name was Dale Earnhardt. More.
