End Off Season Report The New York Knicks have finished the 02/03 NBA season with a record of 34 - 45 with a .451 winning percentage. They finished five games outside of the final playoff spot. After losing star recruit Antonio McDyess for the season and missing Latrell Sprewell for the start of the season the Knicks battled hard for a playoff spot but just couldn't get the results. They were not disgraced and exceeded past everyone's espectations. Team captain Allan Houston lead the team in points with 22.5 points per game which was a career high and ranked 10th in the league. His season included two 50 point games, one @ L.A against the Lakers where he put up a career high 53 points leading his team to victory, and a 50 point home performance in a win over the Bucks. Allan also lead the league in free throw percentage, shooting a incredible .919 from the charity strife. Kurt Thomas lead the Knicks in rebounding with 7.9 rebounds per game. Starting point guard Howard Eisley lead the team with 5.4 assists per game. Fan favourite and all-star small forward Latrell Sprewell had a up and down season after missing the first 8 games through injury, he averaged 16.4 points per game in a season where he record only his second career triple double.
