radio inside

Dark rain clouds hanged over a crowd of people as they were standing in front of a grave. Some were sobbing; some were saying a silent prayer and some just stared blankly into space.

As a slight rain started to drizzle down, Kassy took a flower and went over to her sister's grave, dropping it on top of her coffin.

Images of the time when she commit suicide flashed pass her mind.
That is one moment she will never ever forget.

...

"Stand back and don't come any closer or I'll jump!" Katie demanded as the drizzling of the rain fall onto her.

"Kat, oh my god... Please come back down here. Please?" Kassy begged and even fall to her knees in an attempt to get her sister down.

Everyone at the spot tried their very best but Katie just sat at the top of the building, crying her heart out.

"You'll not understand." she suddenly spoke. "I love them more than my life. I had a room full of their posters. I used every single cent of my pocket money to buy their albums and stuff. I waited in the cold rain just for a fucking chance to meet them. Nick even promised to write to me. But at the concert, all I get is being ignored by them when I asked for a fucking autograph." she said, every words which came out of her mouth were bitterly cold.

"They are not worth for your death, Katie! Come to your senses! Don't you want your sister anymore?" Kassy cried out and hang her head, facing the cold concrete floor.

"I'm sorry, Kassy. Tell them I will still love them even in my death. If you ever got a chance."

And with that, Katie disappeared from the top of the building. Gasps of horror came from the people and Katie was too late to see Kassy for the one last time.

"Katie!" she shouted and ran down the flight of stairs.

As soon as she reached the ground floor, she ran out of the building and stood in the rain, which was now pouring heavily.
She watched in horror.
Her only sister was lying there, blood oozing out from her nose, eyes and head.

"Katie..." she said weakly and falls to her side, crying over her body.

"I will let them know... I will." her eyes turned into a fiery pair as she promised her sister.

And her sister's sweet life just ended like that.
All because of them.

A soft song came flowing into the surrounding from a nearby building and Kassy looked up and listen.

"My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why I...
got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window...
and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'll all be gray,
but your picture on my wall
It reminds me, that it's not so bad,
it's not so bad..."

'How appropriate the song came now.' Kassy smiled bitterly.

She remembered how Katie always listened to this song whenever a rainy day came by and saw the look in her eyes whenever she turned to look at her Backstreet Boys posters. Her eyes would cloud up with tears but it did not flow down; the tears just lingered in between the frame of her eyes.

And that song seems to have built a radio in her brain. It replayed by itself in her brain all the time. Kassy knew from the way she behaved. The song had sank into her brain and probably had taken a significant meaning in her life.

Kassy cursed herself.

She should have known that something must be wrong when she was acting in that way.

...

- 9 months later -

"Kassy, did you see Nick?" a woman asked.

"No, he should be nearby. Why?"

"He should be nearby? God, you are his girlfriend and you don't even know where he is."

"Oh come' on, gimme a break, yeah?" Kassy replied.

"Okay, okay... I'm not gonna tease you anymore. I gotta go look for him. The director is demanding for him cause the next scene needed him." she said and left.

To become Nick Carter's girlfriend was not an easy task. It was an even more difficult task to get his attention in the first place.

But somehow, Kassy did.

Because she wanted to fulfill her sister's wish, to tell them that she will love them even in her death. And at the same time, she will fulfill her wish too.

Tonight will be the night, she thought.

The night where she was going to go on stage with them to perform a duet, which of course was requested by Nick because he wanted to announce their relationship to the fans at the same time.

And it was also the night where she was going to tell them.

After that, it was time to fulfill her wish.

...

- Concert Night -

"What can I do, to make it right...
Falling so hard so fast this time...
Everything's changed, we never knew...
How did I fall, in love, with you..."

The whole stadium shook with the roars of applause and shouting as they finished their song.

Apparently, the audience loved her, she thought. It was her sister's favourite song and she was thinking that Katie must be in the audience too, cheering for her.

"Now we have come to the end of the concert, I have one thing to announced..." Nick said and stood up from his chair, holding Kassy's hand in his and led her to the front of the stage.

"This lady here is my girlfriend." Talks of disappointments and some cheering went through the crowd.

"I just felt that I should let my fans know because you have the rights..." Nick smiled at Kassy.

Kassy smiled back and told Nick to hand her the microphone.

"Nick, can you go back to your seat?" she asked.

"Okay, whatever you want, sweetie." he said.

Now she is on the stage, standing alone.
She took in a deep breath before starting to talk.

"Dear fans of the Backstreet Boys, I have a story which I wanted to share with you before this concert ends..."

Everyone in the stadium looked her with a confused look on their face and the boys were a little surprised but they let her continued.

"Once, there is a girl who has a sister named Katie. She is just like everyone who is sitting down here at the stadium. She loves the boys every much or should I say she love them more than her life."

Nick could not help but felt a little awkward about the situation and the other boys turned and look at him. But he was just as clueless as they are.

"She would spend her free time looking at her beloved posters and stuff which she used her pocket money to buy. She would wait in the cold rain, just for a glimpse of them. One of them even promised to write to her, but he didn't. And on the very same night exactly a year ago, they held a concert too. She was there and was in the first row. All she ever wanted was an autograph from them, but they simply ignored her. They had no idea that how that little gesture would actually cost her life. Before her death, she told her sister to let them know that she will still love them, even in her death."

"Oh my god." Nick whispered to himself. The rest of the boys just sat there, looking at Kassy, dumbfounded.

"And for now, I know you people must be wondering who is the sister of Katie is. It's me." she said, a tear sliding down her cheek.

She turned around and faced the boys with a look of anger in her eyes.

"Nick, I supposed you don't remember her, don't you? YOU were the one who promised her a letter."

"But I did..."

"Shut up." she yelled, without giving him a chance to explain.

"I love you guys too. You were my idols and I worshipped all of you. But my sister loves you more than I do. She would do anything for the sake of meeting you guys or even get that miserable fucking autograph." she paused for a while before carrying on.

"And you guys just ignored her. How nice can all of you be?" she said sarcastically.

"Kassy, you gotta listen to us..."

"I already said SHUT UP." she shouted and pulled out her gun and gave Kevin a shot on his leg.

Everyone in the stadium shouted in horror and tried to flee.
But no matter how hard they bang on the door, it just would not open.
And what puzzled them most was, no securities were around.

Kassy took the microphone and said, "You guys can save that energy. I had everything locked and the securities are probably on their way to heaven."

Everyone turned to look at her and some started to to cry, hoping that she will not hurt the boys.

She turned back and saw that AJ was running into the backstage and gave him a shot, which instantly killed him.

"Thank you for being the first to start." she smiled.

Without any warning, five more gunshots rang through the cold air and Kevin, Brian and Howie dropped dead onto the ground. By this time, all the fans have went hysterical and screams and screams went through the whole stadium.

"You should feel honored that you were the last one." she said and went over to Nick, touching his face.

"I really love you, Nick. But you took away my sister's life and you must pay for it. But after that, I'll be on my way with you guys too."

"No... Kassy... Please... I love you."

"You know, either Katie or me could have a chance to be with you and to love you. But you ruin it."

She gave him a kiss and aimed the gun at his head. She pulled the trigger and he dropped dead.

Once again, she speaked into the microphone, "Well, the show's ended. I hope everyone has enjoyed it. The police will be here any minute and so this is goodbye."

She lifted her own gun and aimed it at her head. As she pulled the trigger, she said softly, "Katie, I'm coming..." And with another loud gunshot, she's gone.

Out of nowhere, that same song flow into the stadium, sending a chill down everyone's spine.

"My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why I...
got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window...
and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'll all be gray,
but your picture on my wall
It reminds me, that it's not so bad,
it's not so bad..."
