Terms of Sale
Please read the terms of sale below very carefully. They are the governing rules for your
purchase from me, and are also an essential source of information about
shipping your game.
I ship almost all parts, manuals and flyers within 5 days of
payment receipt, generally within a day or so.
I use Priority Mail, UPS, Parcel Post or First Class mail depending on
the item. If you do not elect to
purchase insurance I am not responsible in any way for loss or damage in the
mail.
Games are crated and shipped as soon as possible after payment
is received and cleared, but generally no longer than 14 days after
payment. The usual shipping delay for games
is 5 to 8 days depending on my work schedule and how quickly my trucker gets
them picked up to take them to Forward Air.
Preferred method of payment is Money Order or a cashier’s check drawn on
a US Bank. Shipping is limited to the
continental United States.
You will be sent
electronically (fax or email) a scan of the Airfreight Waybill and the number
for tracking and insurance claims. All
items will be insured for the cost including shipping rounded up to the next
one hundred dollar increment.
I will also deliver in the
Seattle area and games are available for both inspection and pickup in the
Seattle area.
Because the vast majority of our customers are home users we do
not include coin mechanisms in the price of our games. They may be added to
almost any game for $20 per pair. Games will come shipped set to free play if
possible. Note that Electro-Mechanical
games (EM’s) do not have a free play option.
Locks are included and
installed for all front doors. Key to
coin door locked will be taped to the playfield glass.
If we have the manual for
the game, it will be included in the price.
There is no promise a manual will be included, but most games will come
with a manual.
WARRANTY POLICY ON PINBALL PARTS
Unless specifically mentioned in the description or on the web
page, all parts and boards are sold as is with no warranty express or
implied.
WARRANTY POLICY ON PINBALL MACHINES
I would like to be able to
warranty the games, but it just isn't practical. Because of the age of these
games (some of the classics were made in 1980/81/82), and the distances that
they have to travel in many cases, I am forced to sell them as is.
When the games are prepared
for shipment, they generally run for at least 24 hours straight; this turns up
minor glitches and problems that are then corrected. Games are checked to be
sure that they function properly. Please note that "proper function"
does not mean "like new" - just that the game can be readily played.
It is possible that when
your game arrives it will not work properly. I would like you to email me
immediately in that case, and I will make every effort to walk you through the
problem. In the case of minor parts such as switches and bulbs, I will
generally mail you a replacement part as a courtesy. This courtesy should not
be construed as an indication of warranty express or implied.
Summary: All games are sold as is
without any warranty express or implied.
Descriptions on the web page
are basically accurate in all material respects; however there may be minor
cosmetic flaws overlooked, such as scratches, nicks or small gouges, etc.
Please feel free to ask for further pictures of any item. In keeping with
general standards in on-line sales, there will be NO refunds, credits or price
adjustments.
We generally ship games via
Forward Air, which is a nationwide airfreight company. They will bring your game to their terminal
nearest you, and you will be able to pick it up from them at that terminal. To locate the nearest terminal, call 1 800
726 6654 or you can check their map at http://forwardair.com/locations/falocations.htm. We ship games from the Seattle-Tacoma
International Airport. The three-letter
airport code is SEA.
The shipping on the average
Pinball machine plus insurance costs around $175 for the East coast, and as low
as $70 for some terminals within the West. I will be glad to give you a
shipping quote; just email me at lou.perazzoli@verizon.net
(click my address for a quick mail form).
Please include the 3-letter code for the terminal you wish to use; the
code is available on the location map or by calling Forward Air at the number
above.
You can also get an estimate
from Forward Air yourself – the average game crated weighs 400 lbs (yes that’s
right four hundred) and the crate dimensions are typically 32” wide, 56” long
and 32” high. Just give them a call.
Insurance, damage, loss, etc
- - Forward Air will not insure an uncratted game. I am not responsible for
loss, damage, operational failure due to transit, or any other shipping related
issue.
In order to insure a game in
transit, Forward Air requires that the game be packed and then fully surrounded
with a wooden crate. We provide this service for an additional $100 charge.
This includes building the crate around the packaged game with a 2x3 or
equivalent framework, and using 1/2-inch thick or greater plywood or oriented
strand board (OSB) for the sides and top. We also secure the game inside the
crate to prevent its rocking from side to side and damaging itself and the
crate. The typical crate we build
requires 3 sheets of 4x8 plywood, 6 eight-foot 1x4’s. 2 eight-foot 2x3’s, 1 eight-foot 4x4 and 1 eight-foot 2x4 and a
bunch of sheet rock screws. Here’s
pictures of a machine getting crated - Crating Machine
This is the most secure
method of shipping and prevents almost all-potential damage to the game. The
cost of insurance is negligible, approximately 65 cents per $100 of value, and
is a very cost effective addition to your total shipping bill.
You should definitely call
Forward Air at 1-800-726-6654 to learn exactly what is and is not covered by their
insurance on shipments
I THE BUYER choose to use
the following carrier for shipping my game
____________________________________________________________.
I understand that the seller
is not responsible for any loss, damage, failure to work after shipping, or any
other shipping related issue. Should I desire to insure my game, I will make
those arrangements with the shipper. In the case of Forward Air, I understand
that a wooden crate surrounding the game is my only option and that there is a
$100 charge for that crate and the game will be insured for the amount
paid. I understand that if the carrier
is NOT Forward Air, I the buyer, am responsible for all arrangements including
pickup and packing. In the case where
you arrange shipping, you have the option of having the game crated for the
$100 charge or having the packing done by the shipper.
If the shipper is NOT
Forward Air, do you want the game crated for a $100 fee (yes or no) _______________
Buyer will print and sign a
