What is Shopped?
The top of the playfield is
stripped completely.
All ramps and plastics are
removed. The lane guides (both plastic
and metal) and upper playfield toys are removed.
The pop bumpers are only
removed if there are broken pieces or playfield wear that needs to be fixed
under the bumpers.
The playfield is completely cleaned and shined with Novus and paste wax.
All playfield plastics
including the ramps are cleaned and reinstalled with new rubbers and every
light in the top of the playfield is replaced with #47 bulbs rather
than #44 (47's consume less current, thereby producing less heat and put less
stress on the electronics) - these are all the lights that can only be accessed
by removing playfield plastics. The lights that can be replaced by just
removing a socket from a light board under the playfield are only replaced if
they are burned out. Any broken switches and pop-bumper bodies are
replaced.
Clear fender washers are
installed on the slingshot plastics to prevent damage.
When the playfield is
stripped, minor paint touchups are performed and sealed with mylar to protect
them from future wear.
Under the playfield, all troughs are removed and cleaned, all light boards are
removed and cleaned and each bulb is cleaned and tested.
All the light inserts are
cleaned and the all the flippers are rebuilt. This entails replacing the following items:
Plunger,
link, and crank
End stop
Coil sleeve
Nylon flipper bushing
Flipper rubber
The inside cabinet is
vacuumed out and the cabinet itself is cleaned and waxed.
The backglass / translight
is removed and the lights behind the backglass are all cleaned or replaced and
the light boards are thoroughly cleaned.
