CLUB PRESIDENT: LAURA LONG

Great News! At the Sept. 23rd. CCIA meeting, it was announced that our club was awarded the CCIA Senior Competition on June 22-24. The Junior Competition will be hosted by the San Jose Figure Skating Club on June 1-3.

As per a meeting the board officers had with the rink manager, only those skaters who are working on double flips and double lutzes need to fill holes made in the ice when they are done skating. If your child is not doing these doubles do not have them fill in holes, this is a safety hazard.

Laura Long, President

In Memory:

Jeanne Landresse, a founding member of the ISCF passed away on May 29, 2000. Mrs. Landresse was also a Past-President and test chair for our club, and was an intermediate (silver) level judge as well as a bronze test dance judge. She was a member of the USFSA for 52 years.

ISCF's In -House Competition:

We are getting ready for our annual In-House competition held Saturday April 21st. Last year's program was a "standing" room only crowd. We expect a large crowd again this year. All club members are welcomed to do solo and/or group routines.

Club President Luara Long is in the process of putting together the team for the CCIA Senior competition this June. We will begin to roll up our sleeves in January. Each person assigned to a category will be responsible for recruiting whatever help they may need. Everone's help will be needed in some capacity and the Chairmen of this event wants to thank you in advanced. If you would like to volunteer your services, please call club president Laura Long @ 436-1478 or email her at iceskater@attitude.com
