Size: One size fits all.

MATERIALS:
- Berrella Polar, color "Earth Tones", 12 skeins (fringe included)
- Straight needles # 10 ½ US

GAUGE: 10 cm stockinette stitch = 12 sts and 17 rows.

Stitches used: - Rib 1/1 (k1, p1,...)
                      - Stockinette stitch
                      - Right Decrease = sl.1, K1, psso.

** The Mocha/Cream Poncho (photo above) has been made with Red Heart Giant Pounder, 1 ball of each color, used as double strand.
The poncho is made of 4 identical pieces.

Instructions:

Cast on 2 stitches and work in stockinette stitch, increasing each side 14 times 2 stitches, every 2 rows = 58 stitches.

When the work measure 18 cm from the beginning, decrease 1 stitch each side. (Decrease 2 sts away from edges.)

Do so 9 times every 8 rows, (= 40 stitches) and for the raglan shape 11 times every 2 rows (= 18 stitches).

On the right, decrease that way (sl.1, K1, psso) and on the left, 2 stitches tog (RS).

When the work measures 74 cm from the beginning, Cast off the remaining 18 sts.

Make 3 more identical pieces.

Finishing:

Sew 3 sides and 3 raglans.

Pick up 90 stitches around the neck and work in Ribs 1/1 for 25 cm. Cast off.

Sew the 4th side and raglan + turtle neck, reversing the sewing half the way for the turn back.

Make fringes: 6 pieces of 32 cm length, fold in half and insert them at the bottom of the poncho, one at each tip, 13 on each slant and one on each side seam.
