Background:
I am a UNIX Administrator/DBA by trade. I began developing
addins for the REX 6000 mid-2001 after seeing what others, like Chris Harris and
Myles Rix, were able to accomplish using Z80 assembler and Small C
compilers. Although I could have developed using assembler and did think
of switching over at several stages, I have a stronger C background and tried to
stick to the SDKs that were being developed.
At this point, the summer of 2001, some pretty neat applications
are being created considering what little we have been given to work with.
By far, the BEST source of information on all things REX6k would
be Dana White's Help Page. That, companioned with the Rex Rumor Central
website which ongoing discussion threads can be found, pretty well round out the
average user. Also, much thanks goes to Henrik Edlund who established a
users and developers list server to keep us all in touch.
I have included links to pages mentioned above, but, leave keeping
current links to all thinks REX to the likes of Dana and others who make much
better Web Masters than I.
