2008 On Novenber 14, 1896 the first London to
Brighton Run was held in England to celebrate raising the speed limit
from 4 to 14 mph for horseless carriages. On Saturday, July 26,
2008 the Indiana British Car Union celebrates the one hundred twelth
anniversary of this prestigious event with a fun rally/tour for all
British cars. The 130 mile routes covers central and eastern
Indiana from London to Rising Sun. It has no times stages, check
points, tricks, traps or driving skill sections and it is impossible to go off
course. But, it won't be dull and you will be challenged! Or if
you prefer, just follow the
route and have a leisurely drive.

School, London, Indiana Time: 9:00 am, first car out 9:30 am Finish: Rising Sun, Indiana This year we take on some of the area's most challenging back passages, along the rolling hills of Southcentral Indiana. After the run, there will be serving refreshments at Rising Sun - home of the Grand Victoria Casino! Local resturants are available for your dinner. All entries must be in by 4:00. Awards will be presented to the most worthy scores and a few other things that we deem suitable and proper. Fee: $20, includes registration, maps and instructions, refreshments, and awards presentation for two people. British Cars only Please!

Hotel Accommodations: We are not reserving hotel space for this year's run, but there are ample accomodations available at both the beginning and end of the run if you desire. Hotel near Start: To stay near the starting point, we would recommend looking at the facilities available in Shelbyville. Hotel near Finish: If you wish to stay overnight in Rising Sun, there are a number of hotels, Inns, and resorts in the area - in addition to the Grand Victoria Casina and Resort.. Check with your favorite travel web site for one that suits your preferences. |
 Directions: Take the London Road Exit (#103) from I-74 southeast of Indianapolis. Turn sourth on London Road then left on the frontage road. Turn right in 3.3 miles toward Triton Central High School. Registration will be in the high school parking lot. |
