About Me
Let me begin by thanking you again for taking an interest in my site, my work, & my goals. I consider myself a healer, a student, a teacher, and an awakener of many things. And by reading further, you will come to know what I mean exactly. Let's cover some of the basics first shall we? I am currently located in my hometown of Augusta, GA. I found massage therapy after college at ASU where I was a Pre-vet major. Ever since I was a child, I have been blessed to spend a life surrounded by horses and other animals. I have also always wanted to care for them and take care of them. However, I found Veterinarian Medicine to be quite different than I had imagined and I switched to Animal Husbandry and Equine Massage. To start this process I first went into massage school at GITM (The Georgia Institute of Therapeutic Massage) for a 10 month course of study. When I first began, I knew I had found my calling, and I was only 20 years old. Extremely fortunate if you ask me. I know people that have spent there entire lives trying to find a career that they love and fulfills them. Things that had been of interest to me for a lifetime that I thought were completely different, yet correlated some how, were brought into a complete circle. Now they were directly related. A truly amazing feeling of realization. After graduating GITM I got my National Certification and began to work. I quickly found that although the spa atmosphere was festive and fun, it lacked a healing energetic quality. So, I embarked on a spiritual journey and returned to find myself ready to serve the community in a better way. I had found yoga and healing touch. I had been to conferences about Myokinesthetic activity and studied with chiropractors. I had even gone on a Native American Vision Quest. Things were different, that was for sure. After a few years and over 2,000 hours of bodywork experience, I decided to commit to the long desired dream and educational adventure of Rolfing. So, here I am at the end of the 10 session series ready to begin the greatest course of study of my life. Negative patterns of physical, chemical, mental, & emotional behavior have been re-educated into a much more functional structure. I've realized that the past 5 years of my life work have all been preparation for something much larger. A type of work that takes the practitioner and the student/client into the core of the issues and back out. A type of progressive work that opens & awakens us. We are all in a constant state of growth and development, individually and collectively, on many different levels. I'm here to encourage the process to take a positive direction of movement. I love my work for an infinite amount of reasons, but what sums it up is really just this: Through these processes, we as healers are creating positive changes for everyone.
