| Summary: | This project is very low priority, and mostly exists for three reasons: 1) I like Gackt, 2) I have several [legal] DVDs of Gackt's music videos, which are rather pretty, and 3) sometimes I feel like being able to see the kanji for something I'm subtitling. So I'm using this for whenever listening gets frustrating, as well as to practice doing fancy-type subtitles. | ||

A Brief Note on the Downloads: My only intention is to share these files with fans to the best of my ability in the hopes that they will like it as much as I do. I understand that these are currently only available as Region 2 DVDs, but if they are licensed in your country, please support your domestic release. |

Video 01: RETURNER ~yami no shuuen~
Status: Download available here. Preview the video on YouTube here. Available at MegaVideo soon. When I heard that Gackt was playing Kagatora Nagao(a.k.a. Uesugi Kenshin, unless I'm mistaken) in an episode of Furin Kazan, a drama playing on the NHK, I immediately told everyone I knew who might possibly care. She agreed that I should buy the single immediately, and to my great happiness it came with this music video. Meaning that my Gackt music video collection is still mostly complete. My subtitling program fought me rather a lot on the layout of the subtitles, and I haven't yet messed with karaoke functions, so I'm less than fully satisfied with the look of the subtitling job, but that's what practice is for. I thought that the translation itself worked rather well. The kanji for this song will have to wait until I have a connection on a computer that supports Eastern characters, but I have included my translation below. My Translation
Music and Lyrics by Gackt.C Translation by Skinner
While the moon that fears to be alone clung to the sky,
When reflected in your eyes, I would be smiling.
In the pitch dark my cries go on, and there I see you
To the point of breaking, hold me tightly.
To the point of breaking, hold me tightly.
Because I will see you again... Because I made a promise I cannot see you...
