A lovely song used by Nippon Television as the theme for their official coverage of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics - coverage whose highlights included having band member Sakurai Sho behind the desk in his newscaster suit. As always, he did a wonderful job. This song also gave an impressive performance, in that it managed to be playing on loop for almost the entire length of each broadcast for over two weeks without getting old. In fact, being so likeable that I had to order [3 different versions of] the single from Japan as soon as they were printed... Well done, Arashi. Congratulations on another hit. Translator's Note: Special thanks to Sabrina for suggesting the right word to fix up the translation of the rap lyrics (for specificity's sake, that word was "anxiety" - up til that point, I'd been trying to use "unease" and was rather disappointed in the effect... for one thing, it doesn't quite rhyme) These lyrics presented more difficulty than I'd anticipated with rendering them literally in an elegant fashion - as a result, some context words are taken from implication. Oh, and the katakana "ノート" [NO-TO] in the first stanza literally mean "notebook"... I went with "the pages of my heart" for [kokoro no NO-TO] instead. Just sounded better.
