| Effective October 15, 2008 through March 15, 2008 burn permits are required to have any open flame fires. To obtain a burn permit call 1-800-367-3507 Mondays through Fridays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Once a permit number is issued call Sumner County EMS @ 451-6070 with permit number. This will lower the number of false calls the Fire Departments are responding to. For further information please visit www.burnsafetn.org. Thank You for your continued support of the Highland Volunteer Fire Department and Happy Holidays! |

| News Updates.... The Highland Volunteer Fire Department has regretfully lost Chief Kenny Crowson on the Department. He has moved out of town and will no longer be here. We will miss Chief as a Leader and a Friend. Assistant Chief has stepped up as Chief Nuckols and will do a fine job in that possition. It was an Honor serving with Chief Crowson and hope to do so again. |
