Things to watch for
I have heard from some people that their plants have arrived in the mail with an infestation of black, aphid -like insects. Others have said that there is an infestation of small white flies that like the plants. I can't really say how serious the black aphid condition is, but I am told that the white fly infestation could be bad for the henna. If this is the case, it is recommended that you contact the nursery or plant supplyer from which the plant was obtained and seek advice. I'm told that these insects can infest and hinder other houseplants in your home.

Also, For whatever reason, henna seems to be a delicacy among
cats.  I've found that it pays well to keep your plants out of reach from cats and other animals who tend to nibble on greens.  I should mention that while Henna is a dye plant, I haven't noticed any discoloration of my cat's mouth or teeth as a result of eating the leaves.
