Seven years and still running strong! Thank you so much to our sponsors, participants, and all the volunteers who help to make this one of the most successful events in Grundy County for raising money and awareness for the Illinois Special Olympics! The Run the Beat 5K proceeds go to benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. The course is paved, fast, and flat. The last half mile is a slight down hill for a great stretch to the finish! Distance is USATF certified. Race is a CARA Registered Race. Food and music are provided. Tshirts guaranteed to every preregistered participant. Discounts for CARA members and those who register on line. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers. Medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers in 16 separate age catagories! From 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, etc. to 80 and over. Parking available in Goold Park and the Morris High School parking lot located across the street. |
