2003 Display Photos
Below are a few night shots from my 2003 display...sorry for the horrible quality, but hopefully you get get some idea of how things looked!
P.S. - There are no phots of the porch which contained two more animated dummies and the mad lab!
2003 display:  Spider Victim 2003 display:  Graveyard
As you walked up the walkway, you would see this guy - a helpless victim to a giant spider.  He was constructed very easily from a storage crate lid, a pillow, and some wood, (yea, a last minute dummy). Another shot of the spider victim, with the graveyard in the background - bad lighting!
2003 display:  Werewolf 2
2003 Display:  Werewolf
A closer, more intimate shot with my buddy, the werewolf.  To his right, you can see a mini skeleton leaning against a gravestone - his head slowly spun 360 degrees using a Knex motor, (see props page)!
To the left of the walkway, across from the spider victim, was the werewolf dummy, made with heavy insides - a kungfu vest wrapped around a sleeping bag).  This guy looked awesome, and a whole bunch of people were waiting for him to leap up, but he was static.
2003 display:  Fan Man 1
2003 Display: Cannibal Caleb
Here is one of my oscillating fan dummies, (which I will give instructions for on the props page).  This guy rested behine one of the tombstones, (which are also on the props page).  He slowly scanned back and forth, and later had his hand over the tombstone.
My first dummy, the BBQ cannibal; I was inspired to build him when I got the cannibal mask for around 8 bucks!  I made him grilling up some human skull on the grill!  The skeleton mask's LED eyes slowly lit and faded.
2003 Display:  almost time for the kiddies to arrive!
2003 display:  Stairway to...well...not quite heaven
On overview shot of the left side of the walkway with a last minute dummy in a box thrown together after my neighbor across the street gave me a mask she was afraid of...a little dry ice, and BAM!, a cool prop!
A shot of the stairs going to the porch; a light-up Frankenstein head rested in front of a warning sign to the Trick-or-Treaters:  "GO BACK"!  On the porch was another oscillating fandummy, the mad lab, and myself posing as a dummy in a gorilla mask, with the candy bowl, (scarred some people for life).
