We are now offering freelance translation services of general business documents, computer related texts, children’s literature, Biblical projects, and adoption/foster care related documents from Japanese to English and from English to Japanese. 

 

J. Scott is a professor of sociology and criminal justice.   He also has a degree in political science and his interests include death penalty issues.  Hisano holds Washington State certification in K-12 with an emphasis in mathematics and higher level Japanese.  Since 1993, we have worked part time for a variety of translation companies on various projects, both written and oral.  Our primary experience has involved translating technical documents for IBM, Nissan Motors, and volunteer translation for RBC Ministry (responding to Japanese letters to Our Daily Bread etc.), business negotiation files, and personal correspondence.  We are also an adoptive foster family.  Since we are natives of each country, we can proof read English versions and Japanese versions to ensure that the tone, style, and diction, is the best.  We have been working as a team.

 

We can offer a quick turn-around and a reasonable price.  Upon receipt of an e-mailed document, we can generally get you back a professional translation in a week or less (slightly more time is needed, if the document is quite long or technically complex).

Specificity of the text – if we must perform a lot of background research, the translation will cost more. Total word count (short letters are less). Requested deadline – if we have to work overnight or during weekends, an increased rate applies. Format of the document – the best-fit format for translation purposes is a word processing format.  Documents that require complex formatting design take more time and cost more.
