My name is AnneMarie Iaccarino and I am the owner of the Hearts of Survivors group on Yahoo. Basically my title means absolutely nothing. I do not censor what is posted on the group nor do I give out reprimands for questionable humor. I am simply one of the gang. But what I do take very seriously is the protection of our members.
Hearts of Survivors is a group for young widows and widowers only. Due to the subject nature of our group, each member is expected to adhere to the following membership requirements:
- Prospective members must provide information pertaining to their loss and current situation, and the reasons why they wish to join the group. No memberships will be approved without this information.
- New members are required to post an introduction to the group within one week of becoming a member. This introduction process enables our current members to learn about you and to warmly welcome you to the group.
- All members are required to post a message at least once per month. Silent members and/or those who lurk in the background are not permitted in the group.
The members of the Hearts of Survivors group are a very special gang of individuals, and I will do everything in my power to protect them. Within our group we read, we write, we laugh, and we cry together. Most of all, we offer compassion and solace to those who are grieving.
