| Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada August 20, 1999, 10:10 PM I was sitting outside on my steps looking up at the sky when I thought at first I was seeing a shooting star. Immediately I realized that it was not one but a satellite. I was looking south east when I first saw the object. It was traveling at a fairly fast rate of speed from east to west at about 75 to 80 degrees above the horizon. I then saw following the object three more lights of the exact same size in a V formation following the first object, moving at the exact same speed and at the same height in the sky. Then following the first group of three was another group of three lights in a V formation following the previous lights at the same speed and in the same position in the sky. All the lights were of the same intensity and appeared to be somewhat blurred. They did not strobe so I assume they were not airplanes. I got off the steps and followed them moving in the sky until the street light from behind a tree made it impossible to track them. I was wearing a personal CD player so I did not hear if there was any sound or not. My impression was they were flying very high in the sky. Belair, Saskatchewan, Canada November 10, 1998, 12:30 AM My friend said he was woken at about 1:30 by a loud humming noise, looking out the window he saw a silver disc shaped craft hovering about half a mile away from the house. It had a ring of flashing lights around the rim of the craft, it hovered there for about three minutes then two black helicopters flew over the house towards the disc. the disc accelerated rapidly northwards from the helicopters and disappeared over the horizon. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada June 21, 1998, 10:30 PM While sitting on the patio with friends, shortly after sunset I looked directly overhead to view the sun shining on the high, wispy clouds. At the same moment, I saw what at first appeared to be a fast moving jet moving from NNW to SSE. Because of my location, I could only view about as much of the sky as the equivalent of twice the width of my hand held at arm's length. the object crossed the section of the sky in less than two seconds (possibly as quickly as one second), only long enough for me to barely open my mouth to draw attention to the others sitting with me, but long enough for me to utter a word. what surprised me about the object was that it was very dark compared to other jets in the air that evening (dark gray) and the way the wings met at a right angle, giving the appearance of a carpenter's square flying through the air. There was no fuselage at very high altitude or a smaller, slower jet at lower altitude. I observed other jets crossing the sky within the following quarter hour and, even though some were quite some distance away, I could clearly make out their fuselages in all cases, they were much lighter in color than what I had observed earlier, their wings did not have the distinctive right angled proportions or even width from fuselage to tip, and they traveled at much slower apparent speeds There was no sound from the object, although I could hear most of the other aircraft I observed that night, even the high, distant one. Anyway, it made me curious, and I've been closely watching a lot of aircraft for the past few days and nothing I've seen in the air even closely resembles what flew over on Sunday night. The objects flight path struck me as rather strange, as most commercial aircraft fly either more or less on east - west lines in this part of the country or northeast to southwest if they are overseas flights. I've never seen anything flying on so nearly a north - south axis. Pilot Butte, Saskatchwan, Canada February 14, 1998, 5;29 PM This object was seen on two consecutive nights - mornings. The first sighting was observed by five people, the second by me alone. The object was in the shape of two wings almost boomerang shape and was beige in color. The first night the object, soundlessly flew across the sky from northeast to southwest at a high altitude. The second night it flew alarmingly low over my back yard. In fact I wrote a letter to our local air force base complaining that it scared me by flying so low as I thought it was an experimental aircraft. We had a lively correspondence and denials not on radar etc. When I sent a sketch the colonel himself phoned me and we had a very interesting discussion. There was no sound and no lights nor any call signs on the object. It went extremely fast and as it was rather high at the first sighting It was difficult to estimate size although it looked much larger than a 747. The second sighting scared the heck out of me as it came without so much as a swish over my backyard and the road at the other side of the fence. it could have been 30 to 50 feet across because I do not know how high up it was. It seemed to me that it cleared the street light by about 20 to 30 feet. I really can not say with any certainty, all I know is that it totally unnerved me to the extent that I ran into the house and locked the door. I have never seen anything like this in my life and I am glad others saw it too. the object had none of the characteristics logged on your list. It was silent and looked like two back swept wings with scalloped edges, plus it had random protuberances on the under side. It scared me. It may have been an experimental aircraft although this was denied, nor had it, according to the air force base, nothing had been recorded on radar. The base is 60 miles from us, and I am used to seeing aircraft flying about. They had been flying earlier that night too. I also phoned my local commercial airport about 12 miles away and they had no radar confirmation of anything like I had seen. It was laughingly suggested that perhaps it was alien. I did not think it was funny. Incidentally about 60 miles north a crop circle was found the next day and many plants in my yard had mutations. the object I saw was traveling from east to nothwest. Both nights were very clear and cool. Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada May 15, 1996, 3:00 AM Well I was on my way home and was looking up as I walked up my driveway and saw this light moving south east. It was in the far east from me, it was like a camera flash and it was gone for like one second and streaked north and was gone. Saskatchewan, Canada October 1, 1992 For Image Of The Newspaper Clipping Click "Here" Picture - danger888 Aliens abducting Saskatchewan residents aren't up to anything evil, says Dr. Laurie Vassos. "They have some scientific purpose n mind," said the city physician who has met with several people who believe they have been abducted. "Once abductees realize the intent isn't to harm them, they feel better. The problem is, they just don't understand, " said Vassos "People shouldn't feel that they could be next. It seems to be happening to those selected as kids in the '40s and early '60s." Vassos contacted Rima Laibow, a psychiatrist in New York City area, when she became overwhelmed by the people getting in touch with him. Laibow came to Saskatoon in 1989 to help sort out what the four people had to say about aliens while under hypnosis. In all four cases, there were unaccounted - for lapses in time and memories of being floated away by four-foot-high visitors and stories of medical experiments. "Public to aliens aren't dangerous" by Art Robinson. Saskatchewan, Canada October 10, 1992 October 10, 1992 (Saturday) Star Phoenix had the following report, Woman beamed aboard UFO shuts off TV shows about aliens by Art Robinson of the Star Phoenix. This story could be the result of a program on Bud Hopkin's books, perhaps "The Intruders". Margaret a former Saskatoon resident now living in Regina area turns off the set. "I shut it off on television. I don't like to recall it, " she said in an interview with the Star Phoenix. She and her husband, Paul, have seen UFOs. She also has been beamed aboard a spacecraft. He has a long, straight scar on his leg from a cut which appears to have healed without stitches. Their most recent encounter was a couple of years ago with a UFO which follows them from about Chamberlain to Saskatoon. It wasn't their first unusual experience and it won't be their last. But it wasn't until one of the coupe's relatives was shaken up with an encounter on his own with a UFO that they brought the entire issue to the attention of those interested in extra terrestrials. "I know I had time - lapses when I was younger. I didn't know what they were. But now I know. Under hypnosis, I knew what they were." As a youngster she saw a light in a field. "I know I saw a landed in a craft. There was a light beam. Then I was in the craft When I was in there, I could see my whole family inside. I know they (the aliens) were doing something to them. I could see my Dad, Mom and sister. They (the aliens) wanted me to go over and see what they were doing. They were operating. I went into a trauma" said margaret. There were scars on her husband, she said. There was one on the back of his leg and ne on the base of his penis. He too had encountered time - lapses as a youngster, she said. Paul remembers, for example, as a boy about 10 years old playing on the farm in his tree house just before dusk. He was just getting ready to go into the house when he saw a bright light. Then he remembered falling to the ground "but in slow motion. he had a vague recollection of falling on a barb wire fence ad cutting his leg. But his clothes weren't torn. When he hit the ground, it was pitch black. he couldn't understand why. There appeared to have been a time - lapse. he found a four inch scar on the back of his leg which healed without a bandage. Barbed wire would rip the pant leg. Paul was placed under hypnosis. he remembers a craft landing in the field. Some beings come out of the craft. They float him down from the tree house and into the spacecraft. They seem to paralyze him, do some sort of medical exam and take blood samples. They do something to the back of his leg. Twenty years later a physician examined the scar. "It wasn't a barbed wire scar. It was a straight cut. It wasn't jagged, " says Dr. Laurie Vassos. But the couple didn't take the concerns to the attention of others until Margaret's brother, Steven was contacted by vassos. the city physician heard about him from a mutual aquaintance. he came home one night to find a huge "mother ship" there. It had lights on it, he told Vassos. Each light was the size of a football field. It left no reflection in the snow. Steven drove off to a neighbor's place. The lights followed him. he flicked the truck's lights. Te craft flicked its lights back. Mary from northern Saskatchewan was placed under hypnosis. Earlier, without hypnosis, she could recall only a light at the foot of her bed one night and a voice saying not to be afraid. Now she elaborates. After seeing the light, she remembers floating out of bed and the trailer into some kind of craft. She sensed she was going into another place or building. She felt the beings directing her - floating her - and then doing some medical experiments on her. Their stories re similar to many other accounts in Canada and the United States. Saskatoon, Canada September 5, 1992 UFO reported: Another week, another UFO sighting. This time the witnesses are Jason Nadrowski and Lori Popoff, two young people... in Mayfair Park when their sighting took place. "It was like this giant, black object. It was hard to see. It shimmered through south and just kept going." Nadrowski said the UFO was a deeper black than the sky" [Usually with these black objects, the only indication you get is that something is blocking out the stars.] Saskatoon, Canada March 23, 1994, 12:50 AM Couple report sighting of weird lights in the sky. "A bright band of lights in the sky shocked a Saskatoon couple as they walked down Jackson Avenue early Tuesday. Dena Johns and Kent Neimor saw a hazy band of lights hovering behind a tree. The rounded shape than moved west and suddenly disappeared in a brighter yellow and white flash. John and Neimor are deaf, but they felt a sensation when the light was in the sky. The couple doesn't believe the object was a plane ot helicopter because those machines give off vibrations they can feel. The sighting occurred at about 12:50 AM and whatever caused the lights disappeared within a few minutes. Johns and Neimor said they had just been discussing a show about UFOs at a friend's place. They called the police and airport but no one believes they saw a UFO. "the police thought it was a joke. But no one can tell us we didn't see anything," Neimor said through an interpreter. Andy Yun, a Saskatoon meteorologist, said a low cloud bank moved over the city at about 2:00 AM Thuesday. he said people often see weird reflections from weather balloons too, but none are going up in Saskatchewan right now." Melville, Saskatchewan, Canada September 3, 1995 UFO sighting causes stir in resort area. Special from The Leader Post There is still no explanation for what some 20 people say was an unidentified flying object (UFO) spotted south of here September 3, 1995. "It kind of makes you wonder," says Wayne Skotheim , owner manager of Cedar Cove Resort on Crooked lake. "There must have been 20 of us watching it in the parking lot using binoculars." A spherical shaped red, blue, yellow and white light was seen hovering in the northwest sky. It remained about the hills, but at what distance Skotheim wasn't able to tell. Canadian Forces Base Moose Jaw, Environment Canada in regina, and NORAD headquarters in North Bay, Ontario all say there was no activity during that evening. In 1983 - 84, a friend of Skotheim took photos of a strange object above the Qu'Appelle valley Hills, a mystery to this day, and five years ago, Skotheim spotted a strange sphere hovering over Crooked Lake. On the latest occasion, the mystery light appeared during a clear evening, he says. It was predominantly red and was there from 10:15 to 11:15 PM. The light then moved off in a northwesterly direction at about the time Melville RCMP Cst. Rene Shank arrived. Shank says he saw the unexplained light move off and has no idea what it was. September 14, 1995 Saskatoon Star Phoenix. Bright UFO Sighted In Saskatchewan Wednesday, September 29, 1999. "A resident of a rural area near Pike Lake Provincial Park," located 30 kilometers (18 miles) southwest of Saskatoon (population 186,058) in western Canada, "reported seeing a bright light in the sky at about 6:00 AM."The light changed color several times. What caught her attention was the way it zapped over Saskatoon from the south, then back again. She took a videotape of her sighting." The video was reportedly broadcast on STV in Saskatoon, an affiliate of Global Television on Thursday evening, September 30, 1999. Thanks To Darrell Noakes for this story. Estevan, Saskatchewan January 11, 1997 10:00 PM It was a real cold night, a couple of friends and I were out looking for something to do. We were busy throwing snowballs at our local businesses when we noticed a real bright light hovering over top the church. We started walking towards it, when the light shot up like a bullet with a yellow streak behind it. We searched the area for a while, but couldn't find anything. That same night one of my friend's parents noticed the same thing. Duration: approx: two hours. The witness also mentioned all the hydro electric was out during this time. Prince Albert, Sask November, 1995 Received a call at 2:00 AM from Constable Blight of the Shellbrook RCMP (747-2606). He was called out to Sandy Bay Reserve WNW of Canwood (approx: 40-50 miles NW Prince Albert) by residents to report a saucer shaped object in the sky. It was first seen at 11:00 PM and was low in the sky due east. Approximately the size of 5-6 houses. A ring of portholes could be seen around it with the brightest portholes in the center. The middle area was blue/green, and yellow where the portholes were. It appeared to be spinning. By 2:00 AM it moved slowly to the south. Disappearing for approx: 1/2 hour. It ids father away, high up in the sky and now appears stationary. Constable Blight says now with the naked eye it appears as a bright light. But through 10 power binoculars he can see the colors in it. Information was passed to the Saskatoon Flight Services to Winnipeg area control center (205) 983-8349. |
