Sakura is another one of those Sasuke fans. She even dumped her friendship with Ino because of Sasuke. Luckily and unluckily, she was sorted the same team as Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto, team 7. Under their teacher, Hatake Kakashi guidance, they completed missions together. Once, they were assigned a C rank mission after much of Naruto's complaining. However, the mission turned out to be a B rank mission in disguise. Sakura, who had not much confidence and strength, had difficulty in protecting their client, Tazuna. Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi always had to come to her rescue. Sakura does not have any special technique like Naruto and Sasuke. However, Kakashi noted that she has potential in genjutsu and has perfect chakra control, way above Sasuke's and Naruto's. She took the Chuunin exam at the age of 12, but failed. Determined to get stronger and get Sasuke back from Orochimaru, she trained under one of the legendary Sannin and the fifth Hokage, Tsunade.
